It seems like just yesterday when we were all online doing our last minute shopping on Cyber Monday, doesn’t it? Well the event has arrived yet again and here we go again! You got some great prices on electronics last year and you are gearing up to do the same this year. Perhaps, you attended Black Friday at some of your favorite stores and you found that the items you wanted were out of stock. This happens quite easily on Black Friday as it is considered the biggest shopping day of the year.

If this is your situation then thankfully there is another way to get in on those same deals and more. Cyber Monday occurs just after Black Friday and it was created in order to allow people to take advantage of some of the great deals they missed on Black Friday. Cyber Monday offers a variety of great sales on all sorts of things like gaming systems such as the PS3 or XBOX 360. You may even be able to find Kinect for th4e Xbox as well as other accessories that go with your gaming system by shopping around on Cyber Monday.

Consider this your day as the stores are all trying to outdo themselves with the best prices. This means use some scrutiny and do not buy the iPad at the very first place you find it just because you cannot imagine it being sold at a lower price. This is a fatal mistake on Cyber Monday because there is always going to be that last place you end up where the price has been cut even more. Smart shopping couple with Cyber Monday can give you one of the best online shopping experiences of your life.

Amazon reported that Kindle Fire is the bestselling device in its store this Black Friday. It looks like Kindle Fire really found its niche and is going to become one of the bestselling devices not only in Amazon but in portable devices market.

2011 is the first year that the Kindle is offered in a large variety of styles and prices.  Amazon has introduced a lot of big programs this year in addition to refreshing the Kindle e-reader lineup.

The Kindle, often called the Kindle 4, is a pocket sized e-reader designed for consumers new to the e-reader world, and for those who just want a simple, intuitive device primarily used for reading.  It holds about half the amount of space that the rest of the Kindles hold, but it still has access to unlimited cloud storage.  The Kindle has about a month’s battery life, and is wi-fi only.  However, consumers can choose whether they want a model with special offers, or pay a little more to get it without them.

Speaking of Special Offers, they do not interfere with reading at all.  They only display on the screen saver and the bottom of the home screen.  For those who already have a Special Offers Kindle or Kindle Touch, watch them closely for any Black Friday offerings.  One of the best special offers have been the one on gift cards.

In the past, the Kindle has been geared towards adults, but now there are a lot of children’s books and games available on the e-reader.  The basic Kindle is also well within the price range that would make it a suitable gift for kids.  It is also easy to navigate, making it more suitable for kids as well.

Kindle games have debuted this year, and with them, there are a lot of different educational games that cover subjects such as math and reading.  There are also interactive books that encourage readers to determine the outcome of the story by answering questions throughout the book.  This gets kids and adults alike more engaged in what they’re reading.  Many of the games that were originally designed for the Kindle Keyboard are now also available on the Kindle 4.

There is something about the lure of a new gadget that can get people more excited about reading.  So, move over video games!  E-readers will be the gadget to get this holiday season.

Amazon Kindle Black Friday

Black Friday week is in full swing and competition is fierce between Kindles and their competitors. There is a Kindle for everyone. That includes people purchasing a Kindle for the first time, veteran Kindle owners looking for the latest generation e-reader, and customers who want a more multipurpose device.

The Kindle is a basic e-reader with 2GB of space, and comes with the option to include special offers or not. It goes for $79 and $109. The super low prices have already initiated quick response from Barnes & Noble and other competitors. For those that prefer a keyboard, Amazon is still making its 3rd generation Kindle, now called Kindle Keyboard available with Wi-Fi only, 3G, Wi-Fi with special offers, and 3G with special offers. Prices range from $99-$189. Both the Kindle and Kindle Keyboard are great for those who just want a device mainly for reading, and also want physical buttons to use for navigation and page turns.

The Kindle Touch is the latest generation in e-reader technology. Like the Kindle Keyboard, it ranges from $99-189 depending on wi-fi, 3G, and special offers. It is the first ever touch screen version of the Kindle, and is getting highly favorable reviews now that It has finally been released to Amazon customers. It is a little bit bigger than the Kindle 4, and can hold about 3000 books, and has a 2 month battery charge. Everything is done via the touch screen, except for one home button at the bottom. The Kindle Touch is Amazon’s response to the release of the touch screen versions of the Nook and Kobo earlier this year. It certainly bear’s Amazon’s trademark top quality design and new features that are not offered elsewhere.

The Kindle Fire was shipped at the same time as the Kindle Touch, and is showing favorable reviews so far, overall. It is a tablet similar to the NookColor, and is an excellent device for watching videos, reading magazines, browsing the internet, or playing games. After debuting at $199, Barnes & Noble followed suit with a $199 NookColor, and released a newer generation of the device, so the completion is definitely fierce. Amazon Kindle Black FridayAmazon has bestowed the Kindle namesake onto a basic and inexpensive, yet powerful e-reader. The Kindle no longer has a keyboard, but it includes the 5-way toggle button that has been present on all previous generation Kindles. A common description among reviewers is “minimalist”, but it serves its intended audience well.

The Kindle includes wi-fi only, but comes with the option to have special offers or not. Without special offers, this version goes for $109. It includes 2GB of space, which means it can hold around 1500 books. That is about half the amount of the Kindle Touch and the Kindle Keyboard, however, there is always Amazon storage backup.

With the basic Kindle priced lower than any of the competing e-readers such as the Nook or Kobo, it will be a great gift for readers of all ages. More customers are being drawn to the Kindle than ever before, and this version is an excellent introductory e-reader. Many of the games already out have been developed for compatibility with the Kindle 4. It wouldn’t be surprising to see a huge Kindle game sale happen.

For all Amazon Black Friday deals, make sure to bookmark the official Black Friday Deals page. Right now, there are discounts on various Amazon products. Lightning deals are year round, and so are daily deals. Amazon has been known to include Kindle deals through these outlets, so it wouldn’t be a bad idea to key a close eye on them.

In addition to the Kindle 4, Amazon offers the Kindle Touch and Kindle Fire. They are in direct competition with the Nook and Kobo equivalents. The Kindle 3, now known as the Kindle Keyboard is still a big part of the Kindle Family, and appeals to those who prefer a physical keyboard.
