ThinkFun Inc.’s Rush Hour is an extremely popular game that has been rated by Parents’ Choice as one of the Best 25 Toys Of 25 Years. This was something that Liz Deakin, Director of Sales and Marketing at ThinkFun, proudly said when talking about the new digital release of the app. He said that the game is so very popular that they want everyone to have it in their homes and also on their cellphones. According to him, the company is looking forward to the revolution that digital content distribution is causing and that is why it was a top priority to deliver this game to Android users.
According to the CEO and Co-Founder of ThinkFun, Bill Ritchie, customers themselves have been asking for a Rush Hour app and since the iPhone version was already out in November of 2009, the Android could not be too far behind. And so this new Android app joins the fray today.
ThinkFun claims Rush Hour to be the cleverest and trickiest logic puzzle game on the entire Android Platform. With over 20,000 apps on the Platform ad many of them being games, this is saying something.
Rush Hour requires you to work your way through traffic jams and choose the best possible route out. Although there are multiple solutions to each puzzle, perfect score can only be achieved if the player chooses the shortest way out. There are currently two versions of this game — free and paid for.
The free app has 35 scenarios of varying difficulty levels and is really enough for those of you who just want to use it casually. However, for those of you who are really addicted to puzzle solving, there is the paid for version that has close to 2500 scenarios that can test even the most brilliant of players.
Each scenario has the solve button that will momentarily show the way out and then drop you off to where you were. So you won’t break you phone out of sheer frustration. The paid for version is a mere $1.99. Both versions are currently available on the Android Marketplace.
