The Android Marketplace has been getting a lot of useful eCommerce apps lately and the latest amongst them is from the auction site eBay. While it is technically totally possible to sell your stuff and buy someone else’s stuff on eBay through your Android phone’s browser, having a dedicated app to do your work for you is always a better way to do it.

This dedicated app puts all your stats and information in an easy to use format. You can check the statuses of your auctions, bids and you can also leave feedback for your transactions on the popular auctions site. The best feature is of course notifications, where you can be notified about when an auction is about to end. This app has just about everything that you could expect from such an offering and it does not disappoint.

Some estimates put the Android adoption rate at something of 60,000 units moving per day. That’s a lot of phones to reckon with and you can bet that a lot of them are eBay users. Most of them are average users and only some of them are power users or professional sellers on eBay. The great thing about this app is that it does not look like something that would intimidate the average user but it will also appeal to the power user who needs things done even when away from his main screeen.

The full reaction to this app has not become apparent yet, mainly because it is still too new to tell. But from what it is and it does, it should appeal to a wide demographic of Android phone owners, the number of whom is getting bigger and bigger with every passing day. This is something eBay could not ignore doing.
